The Tilaknagar police on Saturday arrested a 26-year-old conman who used to cheat travel agencies and private financiers.
The police have recovered six cars,a bike and mobile phones worth Rs.78.7 from him.
The accused posing as businessman approach the travel agencies and take cars on rent by paying initial deposits.
The accused would prepare a set of fake documents of the car and pawn with the money lenders to borrow money and spend it lavishly before approaching another travel agents to get a car on rent.
The accused was operating for the last one year and changes the locations and the phone numbers to avoid being caught.
With his arrest the police cracked around six cases and further investigating to ascertain his possible involvement in other cases.
Police have requested those who have been cheated by him, to contact the police for further procedure.
