Karnataka: Four,including woman passenger,booked for assaulting KSRTC bus driver,conductor for refusing undesignated stop

A s On 20/06/2023,KSRTC Bangalore Central Division Depot 6 Bus KA 57 F1065 while operating Enclave Interstate permit bus operating between Rayadurga-Bangalore route,a lady passenger boarded the bus at Challakere and told to travel to Dabaspet.

The conductor promptly informed her that the bus is an interstate service with no stop at Dabaspet and suggested that she could travel up to Tumakuru and then take another bus to reach Dabaspet.

The lady passenger said she will travel to hiriyur and then she will go so she took a ticket to Hiriyur.However, the lady passenger did not disembark at Hiriyur as planned.

Instead,she obtained another ticket to Tumakuru.At Tumakuru without alighting she informed the Conductor that she wont get down but will alight at Dabaspet Only.

Despite Conductor requested her to get down as bus would not stop at Dasbaspet,she created ruckus in front of the passengers,abused the crew.

Seeing her aggressive behaviour even though there was no stop at Dabaspet stopped the bus near Dabaspet Flyover and alighted lady.

However,on 22/06/2023 at 06.30 AM,when the bus was operating on the same route with same crew and had reached Challakere Circle Bus stop,when the Conductor was alighting the passengers,the lady passenger along with three people beat up the conductor and when driver intervened he too was assaulted.

Driver and Conductor have been admitted to Govt. Hospital at Challakere, after providing First Aid,they have been shifted to Chitradurga/Davangere Hospital for further treatment.

A complaint has been lodged at Challakere Police Station against the persons by the Corporation.

KSRTC has emphasized its crew to maintain proper conduct with passengers at all times and has requested passengers to cooperate with its crew.
