n June 14, 2023,in a Bus No. KA-57 F 3975,operated by the Bangalore Central Division, Depot-04.A passenger sitting in seat number 17-18 managed to steal Rs.5 lakh from a couple seated in seat number 29-30,got down near the electronic city signal and started running away.
However, thanks to the courageous and swift action, Mr.Manjunath, Driver T.no:566,and Driver-cum-Conductor Somappa,T.no:6541,chased the thief,caught him and handedover to the police.
The passenger couple,Thirumurugan,who had lost their money,expressed his heartfelt gratitude and happiness upon recovering his stolen money of Rs.5lakh.
He conveyed his appreciation to the dedicated staff through an email.
Managing Director,KSRTC,V.Anbukkumar,IAS,expressed his extreme happiness and commendation for the exceptional,praiseworthy and timely action of the bus staff.
He remarked that their timely response and genuine concern to serve the passengers, as a role model for others.
Anbukkumar further stated that the staff members involved are the pride and honor for the entire organization.
He hopes that such examples will inspire others within the organization to emulate their commitment and dedication.
