The Israeli operation continues to target newly formed militant groups in the Jenin camp in the West Bank. Huge number of refugees are migrating from here.
Internet Desk: Israeli forces have cracked down on terrorist bases in the West Bank in the most intense way in the last 20 years. Inspections were carried out particularly in Jenin, the largest refugee camp. Due to this, many refugees are leaving the camp due to panic. About 3,000 people have already left, according to The Palestinian Red Crescent Emergency Service Group. This matter was also confirmed by the Deputy Governor of Jenin, Abu Al Rub. It has been revealed that arrangements have been made to hide all of them in schools and other shelters in the city. The camp housed a total of 18,000 Palestinian refugees.
It is alleged that many attacks on Israel have been launched from this place in recent times. As a result, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) forces launched a massive operation on Monday. Observers reveal that even the Palestinian Authority has no control over this place at the field level. Almost 1,000 IDF forces participated in the military operation like never before in 20 years. This operation started with drone attacks in the early hours of Monday morning. It continued into the night. Till Tuesday morning 9 people died and 20 people were seriously injured. IDF forces searched locations suspected to be militant arsenals and explosives labs. Media reports have identified many of the dead as members of Palestinian armed groups.
Is the Jenin Brigades the target of Israel?
As Israel intensified its attacks on new militant groups in the West Bank, the Jenin camp has become a venue for Palestinian militants for almost a year. All these militants were formed into groups called ‘Jenin Brigades’. It also includes members of PIJ (Palestinian Islamic Jihad), Fatah and Hamas groups. Local youths were also taken into it. Along with Gaza, Jenin has become the center of Palestinian attacks. The IDF claimed that an arsenal and a warehouse of explosives were destroyed in the latest Israeli attacks. Apart from this, the forces also seized a rocket launcher here.
IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Richard Hechit said that the aim of their operation was to destroy terrorist bases in the West Bank. He said that the militants’ assumption that this is a safe place should be dispelled. All this is said to be a troublesome place. “We are trying to persevere here. We have undertaken operations for some selected targets,” he explained. It was revealed that about 50 shots were fired at Jenin Israelis. Before this operation, information was given to the Jordanian and Palestinian Authority. An Israeli soldier was injured in this operation.

On the other hand, the militant organization Hamas has called for attacks on Israel with available resources. On the other hand, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Organization said that they will do their part to stop the violence in Janin. A Palestinian youth stabbed an Israeli in Tel Aviv in retaliation for the events in Jenin. He said that the attack was for revenge.
