New Delhi: The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and the Global India Business Forum (GIBF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the Jordanian-Indian Business Council. This significant step was taken during a Jordanian delegation meeting held in New Delhi. Tariq Hijazi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Businessmen’s Federation, emphasized the importance of coordinating all business-related interactions, B2B meetings, and business delegations through GIBF.
The meeting, organized by GIBF, brought together representatives from the textile, agri-food, pharmaceuticals, cotton, fertilizer, and mining sectors. The event, held at the Avantha Business Centre in Connaught Place, was attended by 45 business entrepreneurs.
Distinguished Jordanian diplomats, including Mohammad Harahsheh (Economic Counselor, Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan)and Bilal Hammouri(Director of the Investment Promotion Department, Ministry of Investment),along with Tariq Hijazi and Ali Qussairy (Head of India Desk, Jordan Ministry of Investment), were present.
