A 28-year-old private firm employee was killed and a cab driver injured in a road accident occurred on Hunasamarahalli cross in Chikkajala on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as BR Varun,resident of Sanjay Nagar was heading towards airport and over speeding. He lost control and jumped the divider and collided with cab coming from opposite direction.
Due to the impact Varun died on the spot while the cab driver Sanjay sustained multiple fracture .
The Chikkajala traffic police rushed to the spot removed the damaged cars and shifted the injured to the hospital .
Preliminary investigations revealed that over speeding and rash and negligent of driving by Varun led to the accident.
