45-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by an armed gang of four minutes before he was released from central prison of Parappana Agrahara on Friday evening.
The deceased was got into the car and reached the busy Hosa road junction on Hosur road few yards away from the prison when the assailant confronted the car and attacked him .
Mahesh got out of the car and tried to escape but the accused chased and hacked him to death before fleeing the spot.
His associates accompanied him escaped soon after the incident.
The Parappana Agrahara police with Senior officers as, Commissioner of Police,B Dayananda,along with Addl CP East,Raman Gupta,Joint CP Crime,Dr SD Sharanappa,DCP Southeast,CK Baba with other officers rushed to the spot and conducted a spot inspections and recovered the CCTV footage from in and around the area to identify the assailants .
The deceased Mahesh,Rowdy-Sheeter in Siddapura involved in 11 criminal cases including murder,attempt to murder and robbery cases .
The accused was involved in a murder case of realtor Madan in Banashankari in 2019.He was arrested by the police but he came out on bail .
The Talaghattapura police in June this year arrested him for jumping bail but he obtained bail and was released on Sunday.
We have got some vital clues and working on it to track down the assailants .
City Police Commissioner B. Dayananda who is supervising the investigations said Four special teams have been formed who were dispatched in different directions to track down the assailant.
