he Bengaluru City Traffic Police has made the traffic arrangements in and around the Field Marshal Manekshaw Parade Ground on the eve of Independence day celebrations .
According to an official release,Due to Security reasons all invitees who are attending the parade are requested not to bring Mobile Phones,Helmets,Cameras,Radio, Umbrella and other equipment to the Parade Ground.
All are requested to be seated one hour before as Chief Minister of Karnataka will receive the salute at around 9 am .
All the invitees with Car Passes are requested to alight and park their vehicles at specified places mentioned in the passes.
Emergency Vehicles like Ambulance,Fire Tender,Water Tanker,K.S.R.P,Q.R.T.,B.B.M.P.,P.W.D.vehicles shall enter the Parade Grounds from Gate No.02 on Cubbon Road and Park their vehicles behind the Fort Wall (Southern Side).
All Media Vehicles,O.B.Vans shall enter Parade Ground through Gate No.3 and park their vehicles on Eastern side of the Parade Ground.
The traffic will be diverted on 15/08/2023 from 08-00 A.M to 11-00 A.M from BRV Junction to Kamaraj Road Junction.(both directions) on Cubbon Road.
The vehicles coming from Infantry road towards Manipal Center should move on Infantry Road – Safina plaza – Left Turn – Main Guard cross Road – Alies Circle – Dispensary Road – Kamaraja Road & Dickenson Road junction – Right Turn – K.R.Road & Cubbon Road Junction.,Left Turn- Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Center Junction.
The vehicle coming from Manipal Junction towards BRV Junction on cubbon road is prohibited near Manipal Centre.
These Vehicles will take Right Turn near Webbs Junction and move on M.G.Road–Mayohall Junction – Arts & Crafts junction–Anil Kumble Circle -Right Turn – BRV Junction and proceed towards Central Street.
The vehicle coming from Anil Kumble Circle towards Cubbon Road will go straight on Central Street Junction – Right Turn – Infantry Road – Safina Plaza – Left Turn – Main Guard Cross Road -Alies Circle -Dispensary Road – Kamaraja Road and Dickenson road junction – Right Turn – K.R.Road junction – Left Turn – and Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Center junction.
Parking has been banned on the following areas including :
• Central Street from Anil Kumble Circle to Shivajinagar Bus Stand.
• Cubbon Road from C.T.O. Circle to K.R.Road and Cubbon Road Junction.
• M.G.Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Queens Circle (Both Sides).
The city police have appealed to the members of general public to avail public transport to maximum extent due to Shortage of Parking place in and around parade ground, and to avoid congestion .

Invitees & Public are requested to avail Drinking Water and Toilet facilities provided by B.B.M.P. at Manekshaw Parade Ground.
Invitees & Public coming to parade ground are requested not to take selfies in mobile phone and other activities causing obstruction to vehicle and pedestrian movements.
