ejected over the death of her husband two years ago, a 35-year-old woman ended her life along with her seven-year-old son by jumping into Sakalawara lake in Bannerghatta on Sunday.
The police along with the residents recovered the body of the duo floating at the corner of the lake and registered a case of murder and un-natural death case for further investigations.
Initial investigations revealed that the deceased Vijayalakshmi from CK palya was under depression and getting treatment after the death of her husband Ganesh two years ago on the same day .
The couple native of Andhra Pradesh was staying in CK Palya and Ganesh was running a mobile repair shop.
Two years ago Ganesh was killed in a road accident in Kodathi and Vijayalakshmi was under depression and having suicidal tendencies since then.
On Saturday night Vijayalakshmi and her son Hariharan went to sleep after dinner and she was found missing on Sunday morning.Her family members and neighbours later found their body floating in the lake tied to each other .
