Junior Telecom officer of the BSNL has filed a complaint against Shankara Narayan Construction Pvt Ltd,for damaging the cable network during the ongoing smart city project at Gandhi Bazaar.
Based on the complaint by Basavaraj,JTO,OFC Route Maintenances,BSNL,Shankarapuram ,the Basavanagudi police registered an FIR against the company charging them under damaging public property .
Mr.Basavaraj in his complaint said that the company during its ongoing smart city project on Gandhi Bazaar main road damaged the network cable service from December last year.
Due to this consumers had huge inconvenience and even the pedestrians are affected as the whole stretch of road was shut down.
The business comes under heavy loss and even due to the damage of network cable the BSNL incurred loss of Rs.5 lakh.
The BSNL issued notice to the company to repair the cable to restore the network ,but nothing has been done so far.
The police said that they will have issued notice to the company officials concerned to record their statement based on which necessary action will be initiated .
