A 46-year-old businessman returning home drunk in an autorickshaw was robbed by the driver and his associates in RR Nagar on Wednesday night .
The victim,Sanjay Sinde boarded the autorickshaw at Chandra Layout 80 feet road to go home.Soon another person who is known to the driver boarded the autorickshaw and they took Mr. Sinde to an isolated place on Kerekodi in RR Nagar.
Before he could realize the duo threatened him with dire consequences and robbed his gold chain worth Rs. 80,000 I phone worth Rs.50,000 and wallet containing DL,PAN,and credit and debit cards along with cash Rs. 3,000.The duo later dumped him on the road and sped away.
Meanwhile a bus driver passing-by came to his help and booked Ola autorickshaw for him to go home.
Since he was drunk,he returned home recovered from the shock and later approached the RR Nagar police to file a complaint.
Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case of extortion and efforts are on to track down the accused .
