Conmen cheated owner of Star Biryani hotel situated in Dayanand Layout in Ramamurthy Nagar with a cash back offer on the paytm and transferred Rs.52,000 from his account online.
The incident occurred at around 1 pm on Saturday when Pyarul Sha was busy attending his customers.
Two men posing as bank executives approached him asking which Paytm he was using.They offered to install a new Paytm which could fetch him a cashback of Rs 300 everyday.
Excited by the offer Shah not only hand over his phone to the duo but also shared the bank details account. After working on the mobile for few seconds,the duo handed over the mobile back to Shah and left stating that the app was installed .
The cheating came to light when Sha tried to check his balance and found the amount has been transferred to hacker040@pingpay UTR account.
The Ramamurthynagar police have registered the case under IT act and efforts are on to track down the accused .
