The 77Th Independence Day was celebrated by the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway at Railway Institute Grounds, Mahatma Gandhi Railway Colony, Bangalore.
Yogesh Mohan,Divisional Railway Manager,Bengaluru Division who was the Chief Guest hoisted the Tri-colour.
He inspected the parade by Railway Protection Force (RPF),Scouts and Guides.He took Guard of Honour from Railway Protection Force.He read the Independence Day Message sent by the General Manager,South Western Railway.
Children from Kendriya Vidyalaya,Shama Vidya Shala and Stepping Stone presented cultural programmes. Dog Show by Railway Protection Force was the part of the function.
Later,Smt.Shikha Agarwal,Bengaluru Divisional President of South Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (SWRWWO) visited Railway Hospital with other members of the Organization and distributed fruits and beverages to the patients.
She also inaugurated a water purifier of 50 Lt capacity donated by SWRWWO on this occasion in presence of Dr. Shobha Jagannath, Chief Medical Superintendent, Bengaluru Division and others .
