The result of night power cuts
is money to buy in the market?
Today, Amaravati: Electricity supply in the state has gone haywire. Even without a huge increase in demand, the government is unable to supply. It is reported that about 3 million units (MU) have been cut in the name of Emergency Load Relief (ELR). Officials say that power cuts have been imposed in some feeders from 7-10 pm on Monday night. In many villages, the supply was not restored even after 11 pm.
Even if consumption does not increase..
Electricity consumption in the state has been between 225 MU for a few days. On Sunday, there was a demand of 225.31 MUs. Thermal power 87.93, hydro power 8.24, renewable and other sources at the rate of 55.79 MU. Discoms purchased 44.31 MU of electricity from central organizations and 33 MU in the open market. At the time of peak demand, at least 10-15 MUs of disks have to be bought. This has to be paid in advance. Around Rs.30-35 crores are required for electricity purchases throughout the day. Recently, it seems that the funds for the DISCs are not being adjusted due to the huge amount spent on purchases in the open market, and the government is not providing them, and as a result, it seems that it is a mystery. The gap between demand and production has widened due to reduced production at Genco thermal stations, non-availability of hydropower and sudden drop in wind power. RTPP in the name of annual maintenance, In VTPS the production in each unit stood. Production stopped at two units (1,600 MW) at Krishnapatnam due to technical reasons. A Unite worked in Hinduja due to scarcity of coal.
