A fire broke out in Vijayawada Benz Circle. On receiving the information, the firemen started rescue operations.
Vijayawada City: A huge fire broke out in Vijayawada. A fire broke out at a TVS vehicle showroom in the city’s KPnagar area in the early hours of Thursday due to a short circuit. Around 300 two-wheelers in the warehouse along with the showroom were burnt.
The showroom is located near Stella College on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway in Vijayawada. As this is the headquarters of TVS vehicles belonging to the city as well as the joint Krishna district, hundreds of vehicles are kept in warehouses. Two-wheeler showroom and service centers are also being operated in the same area. There are godown, showroom and service center in the same premises, so hundreds of vehicles are there.
Short circuit on first floor of showroom..
A fire broke out on the first floor of the showroom due to a short circuit in the early hours of Thursday morning. In no time the fire spread to the warehouse. The security personnel immediately informed the fire brigade. Three firefighters reached the spot and tried to bring the fire under control. Firefighters say that the fire spread rapidly as it was a prefabricated showroom. He said that the fire spread rapidly as there were a large number of electric vehicles as well as ordinary two-wheelers in the warehouse. Police reached the spot and started investigation. A large number of electric vehicles are also parked near the warehouse where petrol vehicles are kept.. It is suspected that the accident may have happened due to charging them.
