The official mail of the rural development and Panchayath Raj containing proposed transfer list of officers mailed to Chief Minister’s officers has been hacked and the list is being circulated in whatsapp groups.
Deputy Director of Rural Development and Panchayath Raj,Bhagyashree HS,filed a complaint with the Central division Cyber crime police station along with the two mobile numbers from where the leaked transfer list was generated .
Ms.Bhagyashree in her complaint said that the department had prepared a list of PDOs and employees due for transfer and sent the list to Chief Minister for his consideration and approval on August 8.
The list was mailed from the official ID to Chief Minister’s secretary.However before the list approved miscreants accessed the list and shared in whatsapp groups.
The incident came to light when few members in the whatsapp group brought it to the notice of the official concerned.
Based on the complaint on Thursday,the police have registered a case against two suspects identified as Nivith Nihal and Mankani S A based on mobile numbers and further investigating .
The ruling congress party is under heavy criticism from both the opposition parties for alleged transfer scams.
