he Lokayukta officials on tuesday trapped Assistant Executive Engineer of BBMP, red handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs.10,000 from a contractor for an official favour.
The accused officer,Shivanna,working with the Solid Waste Management department in Chamarajpet had demanded Rs.50,000 from a contractor for signing the documents to release the pending bills.
Based on the complaint,a team of officials led by Inspectors,Shrikanth and Shankarappa arrested the accused under PC act and taken him into custody for further investigations.
