Trio held by Kamakshipalya police for robbing lonely commuters at night,in the pretext of offering them a drop

T he West Division Police of Kamakshipalya police have arrested a gang of three who used to rob people waiting for the commuters .

The accused has been identified as,Nanjunda and his associates Girish and Naveen.

Senior officer told reporters,the trio used to move around the city roads during night time to target people waiting for the transport to get home.

The accused offering drop take the victims to the isolated places,threatened them with dire consequences and rob their valuables.

The accused had even forced some of the victims to transfer money online when the victim said that they did not have cash.

This has helped the police to track down the accused and arrested them.

The accused are cab and autorickshaw drivers by day and gang up in the night to carry out robberies,With their arrest the police have cracked three robbery cases reported in AP Nagar, Jnanabharathi and Kamakshipalya police station limits.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda has appreciated Addl CP West,Satheesh Kumar,DCP West,S Girish,ACP,Chandan Kumar N,PI,Nagesh GN and his whole team and crime staff for nabbing the trio and a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
