31st condolence function of late Shivakumara Swamiji on Sirigere;Enact law where in farmers fix the prices for their produce: Basavaraj Bommai

L aw must be enacted where farmers must decide on the prices of their produce in advance,opined former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at a function organised in connection with 31st condolence function of late Shivakumara Swamiji in Sirigere on Sunday,he said while the politicians set their eyes on the next election,the seers focus on the next generation.

Dr Shivamurthy Shivacharya swamiji successful worked on the implementation of the irrigation schemes.There was a need to resolve the problems of farmers in the coming days.

The previous BJP government implemented the scheme of advancing agricultural loan up to Rs.5 lakh at zero percent interest rate and the same had been continued by the incumbent government.

The former CM said the inter-state river water sharing laws were creating a lot of problems for the Cauvery water row.

Such systems exist and they need to be changed. It was important that they were remembering the services of the late seer.

Dr.Shivamurthy Shivacharya of Taralabaalu Mutt underscored the need to bring new laws to maintain a balance between farmers and industrialists.

Besides, the government must take a relook into the land for which purpose it had been acquired.Along with Yuvanidhi, they must be used in nation building works.

The senior pontiff had been large-hearted and a great soul. This function must become the farmers conference.

The seer said the government along with five guarantees, must give ‘Jala Bhagya’ as the sixth bhagya as it would empower them economically.

Farmers must become land owners and the agreement must take place them the farmers and industrialists. Instead of giving one time payment, the compensation must be given continuously.
