As per official notice, Bangalore school

s and colleges shall remain closed tomorrow: September 29,2023.DC KA Dayananda has declared Bangalore School Closure tomorrow.

Prohibitory orders under section 144 of Cr PC has been clamped across Bengaluru for 24 hours from Thursday night following Karnataka bandh called by various organisations to protest against the government releasing Cauvery water to Tamilnadu.

City police commissioner,B.Dayananda,said that prohibitory order was clamped based on Supreme Court and High Court order and any violations will amount to contempt and penal action will be taken,he warned.

Quoting SC order Mr.Dayananda said that bandh which affect public life is termed unconstitutional and any damage or loss of property should be borne by the protestors..

Gathering of five people and more are prohibited under section 144 and no permission for protest march or rallies are banned.However protest is allowed only in freedom park and violations of this attract penal action.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to monitor law and order.

Sticking forces such as KSRP,CAR and RAF platoons along with regular force have been deployed at strategic locations to ensure law and order.

No forceful shut down of shops and commercial establishments or blocking traffic is allowed,he reiterated.

As part of the precautionary measures jurisdictional police have been directed to carry out preventive detentions.
