A verbal battle between Member of Legislative Assembly of a ruling party and Member of Parliament, SN Narayanaswamy from opposition BJP party,S Muniswamy,openly,at a public meeting in Rangamandira in Kolar on Last Monday has taken a legal turn with the duo have filed a case and counter case against each other with the Gulpete police.
While Balaji R,President of BJP Yuva Morcha,and MLA SN Narayanaswamy the police have registered two FIRs charging the duo under intenational insult to provoke breach of peace and criminal intimidation on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
The duo seen shouting at each other and behaving in unruly manner on stage amidst other dignitaries.The meeting was organised to address the grievances of the people who are affected during anti encroachment drive carried out by forest department.
The entire incident was recorded and went viral on social media causing embarrassment to the officials and district in-charge minister Byrathi Suresh and other officials present.
The police had to struggle hard to drag the enraged MP from the stage and took him out preventing him to take part in the program.Heated argument ensued between MP and the Police in the melee.
Mr.Balaji in his complaint alleged that MLA SN Narayanaswamy hurled abuses and threatened the MP when he was objecting to the drive for selectively targeting people and sparing influential people .
Mr. Narayanaswamy reacted rudely and hurled abuses at the MP and even issued threat of dire consequences openly .
Mr.Narayanaswamy in his complaint said that MP had accused him of sitting on stage with the land grabbers to settle the land disputes.
Taking objections,he challenged Mr.Muniswamy to prove his allegations which led to heated arguments.The police are gathering the video recording of the program to initiate investigations.
The police will question the officials part of the program to record their versions.
S Muniswamy later said that he would submit an application to the Lok Sabha speaker for moving a privilege motion against the Kolar district superintendent of police (SP) M Narayana with regard to Monday’s incident at the Janata Darshan.
MP Muniswamy was known for his controversial remarks,In March this year,he was under heavy criticism after he shouted at a female vendor in the Kolar district for not wearing a ‘bindi’at an exhibition on the occasion of International Women’s day in Kolar where he was chief guest .
