The Hebbal police on Saturday arrested a man on the charges of threatening Senior Public prosecutor of CBI related to Soujanya murder case on social media.
Based on the complaint filed by Shivananda Perla,the police track down the accused Mahaveer Jain and arrested under various sections of IT Act and also under criminal intimidation .
He was questioned by the police and later released on bail .
The accused used to operate FB account in the name of Deepak Shetty had used objectionable post misusing the photograph of Mr. Perla when he was posing in front of the CBI office.
The accused alleged that Perla had taken huge amount of bribe to derail Soujanya murder case and causing trouble in coastal area.
The accused had even issued death threat saying that he will bare the death expenses of Mr.Perla and will soon come out with the documentary evidence of bribe taken in the case.
The accused during the questioning confessed that he committed a mistake of accusing government officials and later apologized even on his post .
However Mr.Perla suspected that there are many people working against him and target him for fighting the soujanya’s case and supporting the family .
Mr. Perla said that he would approach the government for a security cover and also a detailed probe on the case.
