three -year-old boy was killed on the spot when he slipped from the scooter he was riding pillion and came under the moving BMTC bus on Garvebhavipala junction on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased Ayan Pasha,son of Ayesha and Nayeem Pasha from Maddur.
He along with mother Ayesha had come to visit his aunt’s house in Singasandra.On Sunday afternoon, Ayesha borrowed the scooter of her sister and took Ayan to visit their relative and left.
Ayan was sitting pillion when Ayesha lost control over the scooter while negotiating a signal and the due to the sudden jerk,Ayan lost control and fell from the scooter.Meanwhile a BMTC bus coming from behind, run over killing him on the spot.
The Hulimavu traffic police have arrested the driver Somulu Rathod on the charges of rash and negligent driving and death due to negligence against him and seized the bus.
The bus was heading from Attibele to Majestic when the incident occurred at around 2 pm.The driver was not drunk and failed to notice the boy slipped from the scooter and came under the wheels,a senior officer told reporters.
