n a tragic incident,a 40-year-old cancer patient was killed and three others including driver were injured when a speeding ambulance crashed into truck near Bommanahalli on NH4 on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijaya Kumar, resident of Chitradurga was being ferried in Ambulance to NIMHANS for treatment.
The driver of the ambulance according to the police , reportedly noticed a technical problem and before he could react, the vehicle crashed into the truck.
Sensing trouble the driver of the truck along with the vehicle escaped soon after the accident.Passers-by rushed to the help and shifted the injured to a near-by hospital where Vijaya Kumar succumbed to his injuries .
The Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case and investigating further to ascertain reason behind the accident after investigation action will be initiated.
