The Airport police have registered a cheating and impersonation case against the employee of a private bank who used the personal details and Id of Police Sub Inspector attached to Central Industrial Security Force ( CISF) to avail credit card.
The accused identified as Vempalli Mohammed Nabi was using the credit card since one year and incurred a due of Rs. 3 lakh.
The cheating came to light when the bank recovery department executive called Rajkumar Ray to remind him about the payment.
Shocked Mr.Ray rushed to the bank to found that though his Aadhar and PAN details were used the delivery address of the credit card,email ID and mobile number were different.
Suspecting something fishy, when the bank officials verified it was found that the email id, phone number and delivery address of the card belonging to of their bank employee identified as Nabi.
In his complaint,Ray,told the police that Nabi had approached him in November last year while he was on duty in airport and availed copies of Aadhar,PAN and photograph promised to get his credit card under special scheme.
The accused later called him to inform that he was not eligible for the scheme said a senior officer.
