Amrit Kalash Yatra Special Flagged Off by Lahar Singh Rajya Sabha Member in Bengaluru

Train No.06507 / 06508 SMVT Bengaluru –H. Nizamuddin –SMVT Bengaluru Amrit kalash Yatra Special was flagged Off at SMVT Bengaluru Railway Station by Lehar Singh Siroya,Member of Rajya Sabha.

The train is being run by Railways to facilitate the contingents who attend Meri Maati Mera Desh National Level Programme on 30th and 31 October, 2023 in New Delhi.

Prime Minister will address the participants of the programme on 31st October in New Delhi.

Meri Maati Mera Desh is the last phase of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav campaign.

Government of India,Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in association with State Government,has organized Meri Maati Mera Desh programme in 4 phases namely,Village, Grampanchayat,Taluk/Block Level and National Level.

Mitti (soil) was collected from each and every household as a mark of paying respect to the earth and people who sacrificed for the country.

In case where mitti is not available,people contributed grain of rice.The soil so collected will be taken to Delhi in Amrit Kalash (urn).

This mitti would be utilized in the Amrit Vatika being created in the national Capital.The Amrit Vatika along with Ajadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Memorial will be a lasting legacy and permanent reminder of the entire commemoration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Karnataka State Youth Contingent comprising 234 champions who are carrying the Amrit Kalash from Block Level to National Level and 314 participants from Urban Local Bodies along with 457 volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan (NYKS) and 11 escorting Officers from the State Government and Central Government are travelling from Bengaluru in the Amruth Kalash Special Train.

Train No.06507 SMVT Bengaluru–H.Nizamuddin Amrit Kalash Special departed from SMVT Bengaluru at 14.00 hrs with 1030 participants and Officials.

It reaches H.Nizamuddin in Delhi on 29.10.2023 at 12.30 pm.The Central Government will take care of food,transport,Board and Lodging at Delhi on 30th and 31 October, 2023.

On 1st November,2023,the contingent would depart from H.Nizamuddin by Train No.06508 and arrive at Bengaluru.

Anoop Dayanand Sadhu,Chief Commercial Manager (Passenger Services and Catering),Ashutosh Mathur, Additional Divisonal Railway Manager (Traffic), Bengaluru Division,L K Das,Post Master General,Mrs. Kiaya Arora,Director, Postal Department,M.N.Nataraj, Regional Director,NYKS,Southern States,Bengaluru, Kantharaj,CEO,Bengaluru Urban District Panchayat and others were present during flagging off of the train.
