56-year-old motorcycle rider was killed when speeding car knocked him down on Gottigere main road in KS Layout on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Rajendra,a fabricator by profession and resident of Chikkalasandra.
The accused heading towards Jambusavari Dinne lost control due to rash and negligent driving and knocked down Rajendra before crashing into the roadside electric pole.The accused soon sped away leaving the damaged car on the spot.
The profusely bleeding Rajendra was rushed to a near-by hospital where he succumbed to his injuries .
The KS Layout police have seized the car and booked a case against the driver for hit and run for further investigation.
