Interim bail has been granted to TDP chief Chandrababu in the skill development case.

Amaravati: TDP chief Chandrababu has been granted interim bail in the skill development case. The High Court granted conditional interim bail for four weeks. Judge Justice Tallapragada Mallikarjuna Rao announced the verdict. The court ordered two sureties to submit a surety bond of Rs. She said that she should get treatment at the hospital of her choice at her own expense. At the time of surrender, the High Court directed that the treatment and hospital details should be submitted to the Jail Superintendent in a sealed cover.

Chandrababu filed a supplementary petition to grant interim bail for medical treatment. The High Court, which completed its investigation on Monday, issued its verdict today. The High Court will hear the regular bail petition on November 10. Chandrababu approached the High Court after the ACB court refused to grant bail in the skill development case. 

CID arrested Chandrababu in Nandyala on September 9. Later, he was produced in the ACB court in Vijayawada. The court remanded him. With this, Chandrababu was shifted to Rajamahendravaram Jail. He has been in jail for the last 52 days. Chandrababu is likely to be released in the evening as the High Court has recently granted interim bail.
