fter visiting the SV coach works fire accident site on Mondasy evening,Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said thar inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of fire and a joint team of police and fire officials have been asked to submit a detailed report followed by necessary action.
According to him,the fire started while repairing a bus and soon the fire spread to other buses parked closed by.
The fire and emergency service personnel though contained the fire and prevented further damage,the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,he said.
Though the garage has a small fire extinguisher,it was not enough.The officials have been asked to conduct survey at all commercial establishments to ensure fire safety measures to ensure safety of lives and property.
Luckily no one was injured in the fire mishap but such incident should not be repeated and the police and fire department is working on it, he said.
