Indira Gandhi was a courageous lady who built a life to the poor: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah*
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah opined that there has never been a Prime Minister as popular as Indira Gandhi.
He was speaking at the 39th Commemoration Programme of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at KPCC office, today.
The CM appreciated that Indira Gandhi was a very brave woman, she was the deity of the poor of the country.
The Assassination of Mahatma Gandhi,Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi is a big loss for the country.These three became martyrs and sacrificed their life for the country.The sacrifices they made are documented in the soil of our country, he said.
BJP has no history of sacrificing their lives for the country.They just make empty speeches regarding Nationality.The CM criticized that the country and the people of the country will not get anything by empty speeches.
Today is Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday.The CM recalled the events and his struggle and said that his contribution in the freedom struggle of the country was immense.
Several party leaders including KPCC president D.K Shivakumar were present.
