A 38-year-old Ola cab driver was dragged out and beaten black and blue by two bike riders over a row over road rage on Hosur service road on Friday night.
The victim,Dhananjaya HK,was ferried two passengers from Koramangala to Begur at around 8.30 pm.He stopped at Kudlu gate signal light after it turned red.
Two bikers who were behind his cab started honking to move.Since it was red and no place to move,Dhanajaya ignored them.
Enraged by this,the duo confronted him,abused him verbally and dragged him out of his driving seat and began to hit him black and blue before he collapsed on the ground.
The duo soon fled away while the two passengers helped Dhanajaya to take him to a private hospital and informed his relatives.
Dhananjaya later gave statement to the police along with the registration number of the bike.
Based on the complaint,the police have registered an FIR charging the duo under assault and criminal intimidation for further investigations.
