Software Engineer turned thief arrested by Sadashivanagar police recovered stolen 133 laptops,19 mobiles,and 4 tabs worth Rs.75 lakhs

T he Sadashivanagar police on Tuesday arrested a 33-year-old software engineer turned thief and recovered 133 laptops,19 mobiles and 4 tabs worth Rs. 75 lakh from him.

The accused identified as Srinath,was a BSc graduate working in a IT firm before he quit his job due to family problems.

The accused started visiting paying Guest Accommodation and steal laptops and electronic gadgets which he would sell it to his contacts to use the money for his vices.

During investigation it was found that the accused is a habitual offender,involved in a similar theft case reported in RMC Yard in 2019.

Based on a series of theft cases reported in PGs,a special team was formed to track down the accused.

The police have also arrested two of his associates who were receiving the stolen goods from Srinath.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,B Dayananda, has appreciated Addl CP West,N Satheesh Kumar,DCP Central,Shekhar T,ACP, R Prakash,PI,Girish BT,and his whole team for the commendable and exemplary work done by the in nabbing the software engineer turned thief and his two associates who used to receive the stolen items a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
