Four among two cops in Bengaluru arrested for kidnapping private company director to extort crypto currency worth Rs.1.5 Crore

A probationary Police Sub Inspector and his assistant police constable are among the four arrested by CCB for abducting a 27-year-old director of a private company to extort crypto currency worth Rs.1.5 crore and cash from him in July this year .

The accused Siddarooda,a probationary PSI working in Madiwala police station and Constable Allabaksh, home guard,Rajkishore had abducted,VS Karthik,on behest of his business partner Vamshikrishna and forced him to transfer cryptocurrency and cash to their associate online.

The accused further demanded more money following which Karthik took them his relative house in Pillanna garden to get the cash worth Rs.60 lakh.

However sensing trouble,his relative alerted the police and the accused left Karthik and sped away.

Based on the complaint filed by Karthik,the KG Halli police boked Vamshi Krishna and his associates Vinod Naik and Kiran under IT Act and for further investigations.

During the course of investigations it was revealed the involvement of PSI and his associates in the extortion and the case was transferred to CCB for further investigations.

CCB investigations found that PSI Siddarooda and constable Allabaksh and home guard Rajkishore were roped in by the accused to abduct Kishore and threatened him to foist a false case to force him transfer the money to one of their associate Bhootapalli Dinesh.

While Vamshi Krishna and two others obtained anticipatory bail,the CCB arrested Siddarooda and three others on the charges of abduction and extortion for further investigations.
