Two labourers chocked to death two other fell ill while cleaning water tank in Anekal police booked owner for negligence

Two labourers chocked to death while two others took ill when they were cleaning water tank at a private firm in Anekal on Wednesday.

The victim chandan Rajbhan singh,31,and his relative Pinto Rajbhan singh,22 were entrusted on routine task to clean a water tank sunshine holding Thigalarapalya.

As they descended into the confined space,unaware of lurking dangers,the air turned thick with toxic fumes when they were cleaning the tank base with acid.

Two of them inhaled the toxic gas collapsed and succumbed to the suffocating atmosphere.The other two labourers Jagadish and his associates tried to pull them out but they failed due to toxic fumes.

The others in the firm noticed the incident and alerted the police and fire service for help .

The fire and Emergency services along with the police rushed to the firm and rush them to hospital where doctors declared them as brought dead .

The other two were being treated and said to be out of danger.Deceased are from Bihar and working as daily wage labourers.

Investigations revealed negligence in safety protocols and inadequate training measures.

Based on the statement of the injured labourers the police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the owner of the firm for further investigation.
