Man hacked to death by his nephew over drunken brawl accused arrested

A 50-year-old man was hacked to death by his nephew over a drunken brawl in Cholashettihalli in Goribidanur taluk on Monday morning.

The deceased Ramakrishna,a local political activist was walking home after getting milk from a diary when the accused Nagaraj, confronted him with a machete and hacked him to death in the middle of the road.

The Police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem and track down the accused within few hours of the incident.

Probe revealed that the accused and deceased had a party last night and Nagaraj who nurtured grudges against his uncle for getting him arrested in two cases earlier related to theft charges registered in Gudibande police station.

Nagaraj was arrested by police earlier under forest act and also for stealing cables and jailed.Nagaraj got to know later that Ramakrishna had tipped the police and helped to get him arrested.

After getting drunk the duo had an heated arguments and Ramakrishna left home in a huff early in the morning .

In a fit of rage Nagaraj followed him and hacked him to death to avenge, a senior officer,said .
