Bengaluru Police conducted surprise drive across city, five habitual offenders arrested through M-CCTNS App ,3000 COTPA cases,six men caught for gambling Rs.54,000 seized Rowdy-Sheeter booked under arms act

In a special drive launched to check violations the city police conducted surprise inspections at wine shops, bars and restaurants bakery,Tea stalls and lodges in and around the city and booked them over 3,000 cases under Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products and KP act.

The police also caught five habitual offenders during the operation through M-CCTNS (Mobile-Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System)while they were moving suspiciously .

The police also questioned 247 habitual offenders and pinned down one rowdy-sheeter and recovered a weapon from him.

During search operations at a lodge in Basaveshwaranagar police arrested a group of six men gambling and seized Rs.56,400 from them.

The special drive will continue to check violations and irregularities,city police commissioner B.Dayananda, said .
