Posing as policemen armed gang of six people barged into the house of a businessman assaulted the family members and robbed valuables on Monday night .
The incident occurred at around 7.30 pm,when the accused claiming to be policemen barged into the house belonging to Manohar.
Manohar owns a packing material company in Peenya and living with his family in HMT Layout.Initially Manohar son Roopesh thought that the police had come to inquire about a case related to family dispute.
Soon he realized when the gang started ransacking the house to check for valuables .
The accused pulled out arms and assaulted Roopesh when he tried to resist before fleeing with the valuables.The accused had even taken away gold valuables cash and DVR of the CCTV.
The incident came to light when Manohar returned home and informed the police.
The Peenya police have registered a case and checking the CCTV footage from in and around to identify the accused.
