Employee of BRS party IT cell arrested by Cyber Crime Police for carrying out malicious campaign against the Karnataka Energy Minister KJ George

The Cyber crime police arrested 33-year-old IT cell employee of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party for allegedly carrying out a malicious campaign against the minister of energy,KJ George on social media during the Telangana Assembly elections.

The accused Ravikanth Sharma,resident of Karim Nagar was picked up by the police following a complaint that a fake audio clip narrating about power crisis and Gruhajyothi scheme through Artificial intelligence and shared it on social media to campaign against the congress government .

The accused is not only active members of BRS party but his family member was also a former councillor from the same party, a police officer, said .

BESCOM General Manager (A and HR) filed a complaint with the police on November with the cyber crime police who track down the accused through the IP address and the phone number the accused had used.
