The KIAL Airport police are on the lookout for a conman who lured a woman promising to get seized gold valuable at a cheaper rate and escaped with Rs.2 lakh making use of rush at the entrance of the airport .
Based on the complaint filed by the victim,Naga Priya, the airport police have registered a case of cheating and efforts are on to track down the accused .
The victim in her complaint said that she was earlier working at Dubai airport and came to know about the accused after she returned .
The accused identified as Mohammed Suja,claiming to be close to airport officials,offered her to get permission to set up a tea stall at the airport but the victim refused .
Recently, the accused again met the victim on Thursday while he was busy in the preparation of her son’s marriage .
The accused offered to get her gold chain for Rs.2 lakh from the seized items of the custom officials .
Excited by the offer,the victim along with her brother went to Airport on Thursday and handed over the cash.
The accused on the pretext of getting the entry pass into the airport,asked the victim to wait at the coffe shop and escaped .
After waiting for sometime when the victim called Suja on his mobile he said he will come back soon but later switched off the mobile and escaped.
