Four drug peddlers arrested by Nelamangala Rural Police and recovered 1.2 kgs of Marijuana worth Rs.4 lakhs

The Nelamangala rural police caught a gang of four peddlers red handed trying to sell Marijuana to the people near a truck parking lot near a dhaba in Hucchegowdanapalya on Thursday.

The police recovered 1.2 kilos of Marijuana from them. Senior officer told reporters,the accused are habitual offenders involved in highway robberies .

We have recovered 17 mobile phones worth Rs.4 lakh from them.

The accused would perform bike stunts on highway and target people moving alone,a senior officer said .

In another incident,Parappana Agrahara police arrested a woman and recovered 2.11 kilos of Marijuana worth 1 lakh from her.

The accused identified as Rita Devi,native of Madhubani in Bihar was caught red handed while trying to sell the drugs on roadside near a garment factory.

The accused told the police that she sourced the drugs from her contacts in her native and was selling the drugs for Rs.500 for 100 grams .
