Pro-Kannada organizations protest demanding release of KRV President at Freedom Park in Bengaluru

Day after the violent protest and subsequent arrest of KRV activists,Pro Kannada Organizations continued protest demanding the release of KRV President Narayana Gowda and his associates .

The Chikkajala police had arrested Narayana Gowda and his associates amidst high drama after the protesters pelted stones at the moving BMTC and even vandalized shops and commercial establishments as part of the protest .

When the police arrested Narayana Gowda,the KRV activists blocked the road while he was being taken to the magistrate court and tried to deflate the tyres to stop vehicle ferrying their leader .

However the police managed to take Narayana Gowda and 28 of his associates and remanded to judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara .

So far police have registered 13 FIRs against the KRV members across the city and arrested 53 people.

While 15 of them managed to come out of bail, Narayana Gowda and others are still in Judicial Custody.

Efforts are on to get them out as soon,Arun Javagal, member of KRV,said.On Friday the KRV members staged a protest at freedom park demanding the release of their leaders.Narayana Gowda waa unwell and suffering from many ailments.

He needs immediate medical attention and rest,hence government should make necessary arrangements to release him,Mr.Javagal, said .

Similar protest was held at Badminton Association at Vasanthnagar where another KRV Faction led by Praveen Shetty,Sara Govinda and literates Doddarange Gowda,Hampa Nagaraj and Kannada Sahitya Parishad, president,Mahesh Joshi demanded the government to release the arrested activists without any condition.

They also demanded the government withdraw all the cases filed against them failing which threatened to intensify the protest if not the deadline of kannada names boards is implemented .
