In a dazzling affair held at the NDMC Convention Centre, the 31st NAI Awards brought together luminaries from diverse fields to celebrate outstanding contributions and innovations. General Vijay Kumar Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Civil Aviation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding prestige to the event.
Eminent personalities, including Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, G Ashok Kumar IAS, Sonmani Borah IAS, and Kripa Sankar Yadav IIS, joined the gathering. The awards acknowledged exceptional achievements in news programs, journalism, media platforms, and influencer domains.
ABP News secured the coveted ‘News Program of the Year – Public Interest 9 PM,’ while Ramesh Chandra of Zee Regional was honored as the ‘Editor (Electronic Media) of the Year.’ Prateek Trivedi from News India 18 received the accolade for ‘Male News Anchor of the Year.’ TV9 clinched the title of ‘Hindi News Channel of the Year,’ and Lallan Top was awarded the ‘Digital Media Platform of the Year.’
RJ Atishay of ISHQ FM Delhi was lauded as the ‘RJ of the Year’ for his captivating show ‘Chalo Ishq Ladaye 104.8,’ and Rajesh Yadav earned the prestigious ‘Influencer of the Year’ award. Beyond media recognition, the ceremony also honored outstanding contributions in categories such as Lifetime Achievement, Best IPS of the Year (Jitendra Mani Tripathy), and various educational and social spheres.
Organized by the Newspaper Association of India, the event underscored the organization’s dedicated 31 years of service for the welfare of journalists. Vipin Gaur and Deepshikha Singh, General Secretary of the Newspaper Association of India, conducted the forum, with Gururaj Nagathan, the organization’s President, and other dignitaries gracing the occasion. The NAI Awards showcased the impactful and influential voices shaping the nation, acknowledging excellence across diverse domains.
In a recent address, General V K Singh emphasized the evolving landscape of journalism, acknowledging its transition from the days of sole reliance on print media to the contemporary multi-faceted world of digital, electronic, print, and social media. Despite this transformation, General Singh underlined that the journalist’s commitment to fighting for the welfare of society remains unwavering.
Sandeep Marwah, contributing to the discourse, highlighted India’s media freedom, describing it as a country where the media enjoys complete liberty. Marwah noted the global impact of Indian media, extending its influence from politics to industry, making the nation famous worldwide through its media endeavors.
Vipin Gaur, General Secretary of the organization, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the integral role of media as the mirror of the public and the fourth pillar of Indian democracy. Gaur expressed confidence in the enduring dedication of media professionals, who have played a crucial role from the freedom struggle to the present day, and he affirmed their continued commitment to shaping the nation’s narrative.
