Chief Minister instructs Bengaluru Police to create peace and fearless environment;Strict action against illegal work: CM Siddaramaiah warns

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Bangalore City Police should work hard to maintain law and order and create a peaceful and fearless environment

in the fast growing city of Bangalore.

He was addressing the senior police officers of Bangalore city who met him today and extended new year greetings.

The CM said that,since our government came to power, the crime in Bangalore has reduced.Although crime cannot be completely eradicated,it is possible to reduce it.The police should give priority to preventable crimes.

The Chief Minister instructed to prevent the menace of drugs in the city,police officers at all levels should take suitable decision and implement it to eliminate the drug mafia for the good of the society.

He pointed out that those who live alone should be identified in respective police station limits,their protection should be prioritized and the police beat system should also be strengthened.

He said that the patrol force of 241 Hoysala vehicles in the city should be strengthened and work more responsibly.It is not right for the police officers and staff to be involved in real estate issues.

This will make people lose faith in the police system. Chief Minister assured that the government will never tell you to do illegal work.

He sternly warned that the government will take strict action against those involved in illegal activities. Rowdism should be eliminated in the city and no one should be allowed to take up the law in their hands.

The Chief Minister congratulated the Bengaluru City Police that they have done a great job in maintaining law and order in city during the New Year celebrations.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner,B.Dayananda assured that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, Bengaluru City police will work hard to create a peaceful and safe environment in the city.

Chief Minister’s Political Secretary K.Govindaraju was present on the occasion.
