A 21-year-old construction labourer was killed in a freak accident when a iron rod from a scaffolding fell on his head at an under construction site at veeranapalya in electronic city on Saturday.
The deceased Deepankar Chasa,from Tripura had come work few days ago along with his uncle and staying at a rented house on Hosa road.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of death due to negligence against the contractor and the owner of the building .
The incident occurred when Deepankar was working on one of the floor and a 20 feet long iron rod detached from scaffolding and fell on his head from 100 feet height .
