police are in the dock for ignoring late night party organized at a pub for the kannada film starts to celebrate the success of a movie released recently .
Commotion prevailed on Wednesday night outside Jetlag Restobar situated on Dr Rajkumar Road, Rajajinagar,when hundreds of people gathered to watch their favourite stars .
Due to parking of cars and other vehicles on the road haphazardly, traffic movement on the road was disrupted .
Senior officer told reporters that the beat police had warned the management about the deadline before the commencement of the party .
Even though the management promised to close the business on deadline,the party went on till early hours .
However city police commissioner got the information about the commotion and directed the DCP to probe the matter and take necessary action.
Based on the directions,the police booked the owner and the manager of the pub charging them under various sections of excise act and also under Karnataka police act .
A inquiry has been ordered it was found that the management had violated the excise rules by serving liquor beyond permissible limits.
The police however probed the matter and found that there was no use of drugs in the party.
The beat police and the officials in-charge have been summoned for questioning to ascertain part of their negligence to allow the party.
