Karnataka Lokayukta raids 6 govt officials in disproportionate assets case:Rs 50-crore assets seized

T he Karnataka Lokayukta on Tuesday morning began raids at the residences of six government officials in over 30 locations in different parts of the state.

The raids were conducted at the houses of officials for amassing disproportionate assets.

The Lokayukta officials on Tuesday conducted searches in connection with six disproportionate assets (DA) cases and seized properties worth several crores.

Several teams of officials searches the offices and residences of the accused in Bengaluru,Ramanagara, and Bellary belonging to the government officials from departments such as Public Works Department (PWD), Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM), Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL), and Panchayat and Town planning.

According to an official release raids were conducted on the residence of ML Nagaraju,chief general manager at BESCOM by Lokayukta officials and at five locations in Kudilgi,Bellary, and two locations in Bengaluru.

Documents related to nine sites,three houses,two petrol bunks,educational institutions,and agricultural land at four different locations.
