atrolling important crowded places like Vidhana soudha,Cubbon park,Majestic and MG road during weekends to keep an eye on mischievous elements by our horse mounted policemen in action.

Taking a city patrolling system to next level,city police commissioner on thursday reintroduced mounted police for aerial law enforcement in and around Vidhana Soudha .

This will aim not only to enhancing visibility and security to the crowd gathering in the weekend but also a strategy can improve crowd control and overall law and order management in the city.

As the city landscapes evolve,so does policing,and this decision aimed to combine tradition with modern efficiency, the mounted police team has joined the existing foot patrol,Hoysala and Cheetahs to strengthen the beat system.

Amid the hum of city life,the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves echoed around Vidhana Soudha adding majestic sight of mounted police amused the people gathered .

A dedicated team of police personnel well-trained horses marched on the footpaths and inside the cubbon park .

The decision to reintroduce mounted units stemmed from the need for heightened visibility and mobility in densely populated areas.

The elevated vantage point offered by horses allowed officers to monitor large gatherings, navigate through congested spaces,and respond swiftly to emerging situations.

Citizens welcomed this initiative as a unique and effective way to maintain law and order.The mounted police not only added a touch of nostalgia to the city but also became a symbol of the force’s adaptability to changing urban dynamics.

“Hooves on the pavement,eyes on the watch! Our majestic mounted patrolling horses is here to make Bengaluru safer,one neigh at a time.Let’s make safety a shared responsibility”,City police commissioner,B. Dayananda, said .

The equine partners underwent specialized training, equipping them to navigate the urban terrain with ease.

Officers,clad in a blend of traditional and modern attire. The aerial surveillance capabilities will reach any corner and mark the presence of police and also helps to keep an eye on mischief mongers among the crowd .

The mounted police units became a valuable asset in managing large public events,festivals,and protests served as a deterrent,ensuring a sense of security among the visitors .

A unit has been sourced from the Mysore mounted police company for the job which will be under the supervision of the officer of the rank of Superintendent of police,Mr.Dayanada,said .

The city police had earlier in the year 2017 introduced a team of patrol squad in CBD area on weekends as experimental basis for crowd control .The City Armed Reserve had a stable stable to maintain the horses.
