he Kodigehalli police cracked a robbery case and arrested a gang of five led by a woman for robbing the receptionist and therapist of ayurvedically massage parlour and escaped with cash and gold valuables worth Rs.1.5 lakh on Monday.
Senior officer told reporters,the accused Renuka had roped in her husband Guru and his associates Rudresh, Sandeep and Prabhavathi for the job.
The couple had incurred huge loan and unable to repay they hatched a plan to rob Kerala Ayurvedic Massge centre where Renuka’s friend Anushri was working as receptionist.
As per the plan,the accused posing as customers gained entry into the massage parlour attacked Anushri,tied her hands and legs,gagged her mouth and locked her in a washroom before robbing her valuables and cash total worth Rs.1.5 lakh.
Based on the complaint, the police track down the accused through the CCTV footage recovered from in and around .
The accused Renuka is a resident of Kengeri and was working in another massage parlour he said.
The police had recovered the robbed valuables and booked the accused under robbery for further investigations.
