The Organized Crime Wing of Central Crime Branch officials on Wednesday arrested a gunrunner and his associate for allegedly supplying country-made pistols to gangsters operating out of Bengaluru.
The accused was caught red handed while he was about to handover the consignment of two country made pistols and nine rounds from them.
Senior officer told reporters that one of the accused is native of Maharastra,a habitual offender involved in similar cases earlier in Maharastra and Karnataka including in Bengaluru .
After spending jail term for one year,the accused was released on bail and continue to source weapons from his contacts in northern parts of India and selling it to the gangsters and rowdy elements here, a senior officer said.
