hief Minister Siddaramaiah said,I am a follower of Basavadi Sharanas I am a follower of those who revolted against the ignorance,caste discrimination and superstition.
He was speaking after inaugurating the conference of the beneficiaries of the five historical guarantee schemes of the government.and laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development works of Muddebihala taluk.
There was a situation in the society where one person worked hard and the other enjoyed.To eliminate this discrimination of upper and lower caste,the Vachana kranthi was initiated under the leadership of Basavanna.Therefore I am a follower of Basavadi Sharanas. the CM said.
However,before the society would change under the influence of the revolution,Vachana kranthi was hindered.Therefore,Basavanna’s aspiration “Iva namvava iva namvava”has not been fulfilled and the caste system strongly exists,he said.
The CM said that BJP is creating absolute lies to mislead and deceive the people of the country.BJP is spreading lies that there is no money in our government.How can guarantee schemes and these development works be executed without money’the CM questioned.
We have inaugurated development works worth Rs.227 crore on a single day.Appaji Nada Gowda is a very senior politician.He has both the eligibility and experience to become a minister.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed his appreciation that Muddebihala is progressing on the path of development due to Nada Gowda’s effort.
I had come to Muddebiha’s election campaign on March 20th.We have implemented all guarantee schemes as promised.
Even when I became the Chief Minister for the first time,we have fulfilled all the promises made by us. Basavadi Sharanas practiced what they preached and we are following their path, the CM explained.
12 Sharana Swamiji’s facilitated the.Chief Minister on account of declaring Sharana Shrestha Basavanna as the cultural leader of Karnataka.
